Administrative Services Credential (Professional) Admissions (ELSIT)

Application Deadline

Applications are Fall semester admission are due May 1.

Applications for Spring semester admission are due November 1.

Program Requirements

  • Possession of a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential.

  • Possession of a valid basic California teaching credential or pupil personnel services credential, health services credential, library services credential, designated subjects credential with a baccalaureate degree, or Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential.

  • Two years of successful, full-time employment in an administrative position requiring a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential.

  • Completion of a program of advanced study approved by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing under the supervision of an advisory committee (must be completed while employed in an administrative position).

  • Application fee $55.00 

  • Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended

  • TOEFL or IELTS score report (international students only)

Step 1: Application to Division of Graduate Studies  

You must first apply to the university through the Division of Graduate Studies. If you are a US resident follow the Domestic Students procedure. If you are a non-US resident follow the International Students procedure.

1. Apply to graduate study through SF State's online application system. The Office of Graduate Admissions no longer accepts paper applications to graduate programs.The application fee is 55.00 USD and we recommend that you pay online by credit card at the moment you submit your application.

 

2. Send the Division of Graduate Studies the following:

  • Official academic documents from every college or university ever attended.
  • $55.00 application fee by check or money order if you did not pay online by credit card. Please make check or money order payable to San Francisco State University.

Step 2: Application to Program Department

You must also apply directly to the specific department within the Graduate College of Education for this program.

Applicants to this program must submit the following:

  • ELSIT Department Application

  • A copy of your valid Preliminary Administrative Services Credential

  • Verification of Experience Form (two years of successful, full-time employment in an administrative position requiring a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential)

  • Program Advisors and Evaluators may contact students for interviews
