The Department of Special Education prepares special educators to enter professional practice in today’s increasingly multicultural society. Candidates who seek careers in special education will find many options including a doctoral degree (Ph.D.), master of arts degree, graduate certificates, education specialist credentials, and a clinical rehabilitative services credential.

This information session is designed to allow prospective students the chance to explore the programs offered by the Department. We will cover the requirements for admission and will provide an overview of the application process. Attending an information session is a key way to ensure your program and/or admissions questions are answered!

The Graduate College of Education at San Francisco State University cordially invites you to participate in our annual Teachers, SLPs, Career and Hiring Information Fair 2019 on Saturday, March 9th, 2019, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Student Life Events Center (Annex 1).

This event will host numerous school district representatives, schools and educational agencies to promote their teaching positions, summer jobs, internships, and career opportunities to our students, credential candidates, and alumni in all of our programs, including professions of audiology, speech-language pathology, and speech and hearing science.
