SF State’s Commencement at Oracle Park
In just a few weeks the semester will be over and it will be time for Commencement. We want all GCOE degree graduates and credential completers to get ready to participate in SF State’s Commencement at Oracle Park!
If you finished your degree and/or credential in Summer 2024, Fall 2024, or Spring 2025 you can celebrate at Oracle Park on May 23. Here are the steps to take now.
For Degree Graduates: BS, MA, MS, Ed.D. with or without a Credential
1. Apply to graduate: Go to the Commencement website and follow the steps. This gets your name in the printed program, and starts your diploma process. A $100 fee will be charged to your SFSU account.
2. Rent your cap and gown (“regalia”) online through Jostens by Thursday April 17 so it gets to you on time.
- Wearing your cap and gown allows you to enter Oracle Park.
- You will get 7 tickets for friends and family when you rent your regalia. If you have tickets that you will not use, please contact the Academic Coordinator in the Department.
- Rent the regalia that matches your degree level.
3. Get your GCOE sash from your department, complements of the GCOE.
4. If your department is also having a celebration, enjoy that as well!
For Credential-Only Completers
1. You do not need to apply to graduate, because you are not earning a degree at this time. (If you are earning a degree AND credential, follow the steps above.)
2. Your name is already on a list of all Credential Completers for this year, and will go into the printed program.
3. There is a $80 registration fee to attend the Commencement Ceremony at Oracle Park. Please click here to register and pay the fee.
4. Rent your cap and gown (“regalia”) online through Jostens by Thursday April 17 so it gets to you on time.
