Interprofessional Education (IPE) for Inclusive Early Childhood Education 2023

Every year, SLHS 701 and SPED 780 join courses to host the "Interprofessional Education for Inclusive Early Childhood Education" learning experience. This event is coming up on Wednesday, October 25 from 4:30-6:30pm on Zoom. Instructors for SLHS 701 are Betty Yu and Jim Cartwright, with Jetta Jacobson teaching SPED 780 this Fall 2023 semester. 

This collaboration between Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) has evolved and changed hands for over a decade. This collaboration assignment first beginning with Betty Yu and Summer Hsia (retired from SPED at the end 2022-2023). Betty Yu and Maryssa Mitsch collaborated on this from 2018-2022. Over time, the SLHS 701 course brought together two sections/instructors as well, including V Tisi and Jim Cartright. This year, Betty Yu, Jim Cartwright, and Jetta Jacobson are working together to put on an inclusive and collaborative event for students in the SLHS and ECSE programs! All are GCOE students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend – registration required.
